This bread is soooo good. I have made an apple cake before and it was okay so I thought I would give this apple bread a try. I made two loaves and after an hour I poked a toothpick in and it came out clean. I took them out and let them set for a couple of minutes before I turned them out onto racks. I had about a quarter size piece stick to the bottom and when I turned it, the bread broke in half, which was actually ok (except for the hot molten lava leaking out of it) because there was a little bit that was not finished baking. So I put the other loaf in for a few minutes more and it came out fine. I would recommend baking for probably an hour and 6 or 7 minutes. But definately try this bread. My son says I should make it at least 4 times a month:) And don't neglect to put the sugar on top. It gives the top of the crust just that little crunchiness that is so tasty. Thanks Kendra for another great recipe. I look forward to seeing what you give us next.
