Only I don't make my own, we just buy garlic oil gel capsules, poke a hole in it with a pin and squeeze it IN the ear. I like the convenience of the capsules being ready to go, and if you have a trip they travel well too. If you don't have garlic you can also use an onion! Just grate an onion, strain the juice, and put a few drops of the juice in the ear. We always used the onion growing up, but I do the garlic oil on my kids because it's ready to go. I usually put it in their ears, and then put a little cotton to stop it running out, and tuck them in bed for the night. We use garlic oil too!
