		<description>I make a similar salad that my gram passed on to us with sour cream as the dressing base.

One tip:  Slice the cucs as thin as possible.  As you slice occassionally sprinkle salt over them.  Cover the bowl and let it set for at least an hour.

The salting will pull the juice out of the cus which you can then drain off before stirring your dressing ingredients.  This will make for a thicker dressing - and don&#039;t worry - it doesn&#039;t make the salad saltier at all!</description>
