Toothache & Dry Socket Relief Remedy
When my husband got his wisdom teeth pulled a few years ago, he unfortunately got Dry Socket soon afterwords. He was in a lot of pain! Several people recommended a remedy using Clove Oil. He tried it and the pain was instantly relieved. We couldn’t believe how quickly it worked!
To treat toothaches here’s what you do:
Mix 2-3 drops of pure clove oil with 1/4 tsp. olive oil.
*Don’t put straight clove oil on your tooth… Jerry tried that first… it burns!!
If you have dry socket, add a couple of drops of the mixture into the empty socket, or pack it with a cotton ball dipped in the mixture.
If you have a toothache, dip a cotton ball in the mixture and place it in your mouth beside the aching tooth. Keep it there until the pain is gone. You could also use a cotton swab to rub the mixture onto your gums.
Relief should be almost instant.

where do you buy clove oil?

We buy it at a Whole Foods store. I’m sure any herbal shop would have it too. Not sure if grocery stores carry it or not.

When I was pregnant with #1 I got toothaches all the time. I second the use of clove oil to relieve the pain. Plus, in a pinch you can use cloves from the spice cabinet (not quite as long lasting, but provides temporary relief).
This is great for temporary relief, but if you have a tooth that aches enough that you need something to relieve the pain, it probably needs to be treated, or at least evaluated (aches from gum recession obviously are different than aches from cavities)–remember the little boy who died from a brain abscess after an abscessed tooth went untreated? Yikes!! I wouldn’t cover up pain for too long before addressing the source and cause of the pain:)
