Oh yeah… totally normal
My 3 year old went through this stage and we bought him boy dress up stuff. That seemed to solve this problem.
They usually go through a stage that they realize that is a girl thing and give it up.
Yes, I’m definitely putting boy dress up stuff on his Christmas list… a Fireman, a Football Player, a Policeman.

I have a son who also went through that stage. He grew out of it and I’m sure yours will too. Good idea on the boys dress up. I did buy my son a cowboy hat and some toy guns with holsters and a sherrif’s badge.
=) Maybe he just wants to be like his sister.
