I throw fabric softener into the rinse and that dissolves the soap scum, but vinegar would probably work better. I'll try that next time! It does work great, and is earth friendly too. Throw in the washer with some oxiclean or just a wash or two with regular detergent, then throw on the clothesline for the sun to do the majority of the work. :D Easy for me, and smells fabulous when all done and clean.
