This Funny Herd

funny herd 2

These guys… they make me smile. I still crack up every time I look out the window and see this crew running around the yard playing together. The pig and the dog like to play tag and chase each other in circles. It’s hilarious! And Mocha (the goat) enjoys head butting the puppy whenever she gets too mischievous. She’ll lower her head and deliver one good blow that sends the puppy tumbling over. Of course Missy (the puppy) thinks it’s great fun and runs back for more!

And this one… she’s crazy! When I go out to feed everybody, she’s constantly running up behind me and shoving between my legs so that I can rub her. Then she’ll squeal and take off running in a circle around me and do it all over again. It’s a game she likes to play; funny, and yet a little unnerving!

Look at that face! Always up to her eyeballs in mud!

What a bunch of characters!

Ok Kendra, how on earth are you going to bring yourself to butcher that pig?? It seems she has become a fun member of the family!

    Jessica-

I know, I know!! I have no idea. I imagine I’ll probably cry. But I can’t possibly back out now. No, this is something that we have to do. We have to learn. And as much as I’ll HATE doing it, we will thank her for her life, and be grateful for every bite of food that she will provide my family. I might just have to wuss out and take her to a butcher though… we’ll see!

That picture is hysterical! Maybe you should write a children’s book with this wonderful cast of characters….. :)

Our goats are goofy, too! So much fun to watch! I agree with Liz! That little group would make a great children’s book!
