Me and the kids LOVE these breakfast banana splits! And they are so quick and easy to make.
What you’ll need:
- Bananas
- Yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- Granola, or nutty cereal (like Honey Bunches of Oats)
- Blueberries, chopped strawberries
- Cinnamon
Simply slice your banana long ways, or chop it into smaller pieces for young children. Top banana with yogurt. Sprinkle with granola or cereal. And add fruit with a little bit of cinnamon on top.
Good stuff!!

Oh yummy! I’ll have to give that a whirl one of these mornings! Do you have a home made granola recipe that’s pretty quick and inexpensive? Thanks!
Carmen- Here’s an easy recipe for granola. I’d leave out the coconut and sunflower seeds though, just to make it a little more cost effective. I haven’t tried it yet, as we are up to our ears in granola that a friend of ours who works at Fresh Market gave us!
Oh, that is the cutest idea! I’m thinking my Alex would really like that. It’s all healthy, but it seems like a special treat!
What a fun bowl it’s in, too
I never thought of doing something like that! My kids love it when we make yogurt sundaes. We take plain low fat yogurt in a bowl, sprinkle cheerios over the top with some rainbow sprinkles and sugar free cool whip. They dive right in!! Sometimes I’ll crush up oreos and sprinkle that over too. Great alternative to ice cream sundaes when you don’t have the ice cream!!
