Bombarded!
I thought it might be fun for you guys to see what it’s like for me every time I step outside my home. When the animals are loose, I have to prepare to be completely bombarded! They are like my little entourage, following me everywhere I go! It’s my fault though, really. I’m so bad about bringing little snacks with me when I go out to do my chores. They know I have treats, and come running the moment they notice my presence.
So, this day I stepped out on my front porch and called the animals. I didn’t expect them to come at me so fast! I had to scramble to get the crackers opened and on the ground before they jumped all over me, so the video isn’t the best… but you get the idea:
I apologize for the poor angle! Sometime I’ll have to get my husband to tape from a distance so you can get a better view of the chaos!

Now that will put a smile on your face! Love, love, love it!
too funny! Mrs. Pork Chop sure has gotten big! Reminds me of when I had my hens and let them freerange. When I would leave and then come back, as soon as the van pulled in the driveway, they would start walking toward it. As soon as I got out of the van, they would come running/flying toward me!
thats neat, the new goat looks to be getting along fine!
I love that you shared this with us! How fun! They all look so happy!
That is great! I love the little piggy noises.
So much fun! Thanks for sharing your video with us.
Very cute!
Absolutely adorable! How the new goat working out?
Oh, my Goodness – that is hilarious! How fun, thanks for sharing that with us!
So cute – our chickens used to run to meet us at the school bus in the afternoons. This reminds me of that! I’m praying your husband finds a job soon. May God bless you richly!
Haha, that’s hysterical!!! We canceled our Dish Network today (which means we are now TVless! YAY!), and I must say that New Life on a Homestead is FAR more entertaining than American Idol.
Sara- Yay! Glad you are free from the “boob tube”!! You’ll be amazed at how much you’ll accomplish and learn without it!
My house looks like that, except I only have chickens rushing me. I hate all the poop on the porch!
LOL! Roger and I watched this video over and over! Too funny!
Love and miss u!
I took a video camera out to my barn with me the other day to record my morning chores… it was pretty funny too. I had animals jumping up on me for their food… It is mass pandemonium at breakfast in the barn! I posted it, as crazy as my animals (and I!) are, on my blog… I’m sure we will both look back in a few years from now and be amazed at how much our “farms” have changed…
Thanks for posting!
