Based out of Salley, South Carolina, A.S. Tees is an all American Made product line for juniors, ladies, men, women, youth, and babies. They have also recently come out with an eco-friendly line of Organic, Bamboo-Cotton, and Recycled Polyester/Cotton blend products.

A.S. Tees was kind enough to send me one of their 100% Recycled tees to review. These tops are made from 65% regenerated cotton and 35% recycled PET polyester. The cotton is recycled from 100% cotton fabric scraps made of ring spun yarn only. And the polyester is made from recycled beverage containers. Since these shirts are made from scraps which were already colored, dye isn’t necessary most of the time. A low-impact dye is used in the few cases when dying is needed.

The shirt that I got appears burgundy at first glance, but if you look a little closer you can see tiny flecks of different colors.  It’s super soft too. I never would have imagined that it was made from recycled beverage containers! I also appreciate the modesty of most of the womens shirts. These tops are very reasonably priced, with women’s tees starting at $11. (Make sure to check out their Clearance section as well!) Compare that to other companies with products made in sweat factories, and you can feel good knowing that your purchase is going to supporting a company who cares about taking care of their employees.

I appreciate the fact that A.S. Tees is taking the initiative to create quality products out of what otherwise would have been thrown away.
