Bamboosa Cuddlesac Review & Giveaway
**This Giveaway has now ended. Congratulations to Marci J!**
Have you ever felt fabric made from bamboo? I hadn’t, until I got the chance to review one of Bamboosa’s New Printed Baby Cuddlesacs. After learning more about Bamboosa, I can’t help but love them! Especially since these products are manufactured in South Carolina, sewn by good ol’ everyday American Women.
Upon receiving my speedy shipment, I was immediately impressed with the adorable packaging.
I couldn’t resist ordering the “C for Cage-Free” print. Super cute!!
And as you can see, baby Xia was very pleased with her new Cuddlesac! I can’t tell you how soft and lightweight it is. It makes me want one of my own!!
I had no idea that bamboo was such a valuable resource for fabric. Here are some really good reasons to buy Bamboosa clothing:
- All of Bamboosa’s products are made with USDA Certified Organically Grown Bamboo.
- The farm where the bamboo is grown is certified by OCIA (Organic Crop Improvement Association) International.
- Bamboosa fabric is free of chlorine and formaldehyde.
- The viscose fiber from bamboo is incredibly soft and lightweight!
- Viscose absorbs moisture 3-4 times better than cotton, helping to keep you comfortable in hot weather.
- Dries quickly.
- Thermal regulating- keeps you cooler and drier when it’s hot outside, and keeps you warmer when it’s cold.
- Natural UV protection.
- Odor resistant.
- Bamboo is a renewable source, grown without chemicals or pesticides.
- No bleach is used on the products.
- The bamboo is planted and grown on family-owned farms.
- AND… all of Bamboosa’s clothing and baby products are proudly MADE IN AMERICA, sweatshop-free!
I truly appreciate the social responsibility of this company. If only there were more like them.
The best part for you is that Bamboosa has agreed to partner with me in offering one of these “C for Cage-Free” Cuddlesacs to one of my lucky readers!!

I love that bamboo is so soft and breathable. Our baby is due in about a month and we hope to co-sleep but I want to make sure that he/she doesn’t get overheating this summer in our bed and this fabric sounds perfect.
I love the feel of bamboo fabric, too, but I read some things last year that made me reconsider buying it, at least from a “green” standpoint. Apparently, the process they need to use to turn bamboo into cloth releases just as many bad chemicals as conventional fabric processing. Here are a couple of links I dug up really quick:

Hopefully I put those in there right! I think it’s great that the clothes are made in the U. S. and bamboo does make a really soft fiber, but if anyone’s interested in buying a fabric specifically to be environmentally friendly, this might not be the best possible option? Just wanted to put my two cents into the pot!
I’m following you on Twitter (BRC_MacKenzie) and I posted about the giveaway.

I like the use of bamboo–definitely a renewable resource. If the cloth is anything like the bamboo yarn with which I knit, it’s gotta be great for baby’s skin.
Thanks for the chance to win!
As a first time mother, I worry about “Is my baby going to be too hot? too cold? How will I know?” so I like that the material regulates both hot and cold. I also appreciate that these clothes are organic because I want to use the least amount of chemicals as possible around my baby and it’s so great that it’s all grown here in the States!
I love that everything is natural!
I love that, The farm where the bamboo is grown is certified by OCIA International and the bamboo crops are certified by the USDA Organic Seal!
