Incredibly, the list could go on. To read about even more occurrences, and articles detailing the above mentioned events, go here and here.
But what’s the cause? I’ve heard so many different theories (a lot of them insultingly ridiculous, and a few I can actually believe): climate change, starvation, UFO’s, bird flu, cold water, warm water, tides changing, poisoning, fireworks, pollution, government weapons experiments, effects from the gulf oil spill, chemtrails, hit by cars, the New Madrid Seismic Zone, Armageddon…
Oh, and my favorite: “(the birds) were probably asleep in a single tree when a washing machine-type thunderstorm sucked them up into the air, disoriented them, and even fatally soaked and chilled them.”
Seriously??
I don’t know. But whatever it is it’s scary. Should we be worried? Is this a “canary in the mines” scenario?
Personally, I can’t reconcile in my own mind that these are all simply natural occurrences, or coincidence.
What I’m wondering is, how long until we the people are next?

It is scary. That is probably one reason why I have been wanting to stockpile and prepare better. I honestly don’t believe it is the start of an apocalypse. I just don’t but I do believe that we are causing serious damage to our planet. Eventually it has to catch up. We don’t know just how deep the effects of the oil spill goes. We don’t truly know what caused each of these cases. I just remind myself to put my trust in God. I know he is with us always and that he protects my family. I just hope that as a species humans start opening their eyes to the damage we inflict before it is truly too late.
I have chills..I just read this to my husband, who reads the bible cover to cover and his response to me was “Pray. Like it says, pray that it doesn’t happen in your lifetime.” Revelations. This coming from a man, that poo poos the idea of 2012. A man that says too many things still have to happen from the Bible before “the end”. Well after reading this to him, and getting his response, I don’t feel so well
I don’t think it’s about ‘when will we be next?’ I think it’s already happening to the people. Look at the devastation caused by AIDS/HIV (much cause by moral impurity), cancer, viruses, humankind, earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes, and other devastating man made and natural disasters. It’s not about when it will happen to us, it’s about why is it happening and what does it mean. Are these truly prophecies coming true and we’re just so jaded from living in today’s world we aren’t sure of the words of wisdom God so graciously blessed us with or are we making something out of nothing? I don’t believe its nothing. I think there is a definite reading and the Lord is weighing heavily on people’s hearts to prepare and the wise will head His words (particularly Proverbs) and not only listen but act upon His warning. But lets face it, what good does a store house of meat, grains, produce, and water amount to if your soul is left thirsting for truth? We have to realize that as the hands and feet of the Lord this life of ours isn’t about the American Dream or who has the most money, it’s about spreading God’s love and His mercy but also being honestly and truthful about what a life without those great gifts will mean. Last fall at church our pastor gave us each a carnation and told us we were to take it home and we weren’t allowed to do a single thing to it- no water, no food, no nothing, and we were to watch it die. He explained that by not giving our neighbors (friend, family, foe, etc.) what it truly needed- God’s perfect gift, that each and every one of those people would end up just like that flower. That’s what this time is about. For those of us who know Him, there is nothing to fear, but for the rest of the world, there is nothing that can assure them they will be fine unless they find Him too. There is no money, no person, no thing, no technology, no fake god- nothing, that will save them but God and until they know Him and believe in Him they will continue to run scared or pretend like nothing is happening.
Following this type of incident is part of my hobby. These do happen, but never in this amount. You would not believe the excuses they use when it happens. I have read they- got drunk on berries, they forgot to eat, it was too cold, it was too hot, they ate themselves to death. They at least get creative with the excuses.
What is a tale tell sign for me, was one goverment offical, that said they were healthy, but the tests don’t come back for another week. With the blood clots and the hemmoraging I would venture to say some of them died of bird flu. That is a word no goverment official will say willingly in any country.
Amazing that these stories came up and took our attention away from the economy huh? You have to wonder if half of these stories are even true. Remember there are a lot of lies out there on the internet and being fed to us by the media. I’m not saying that some of the stories arent true though but this is nothing new. Look it up. It has happened before and will happen again. My advice is to stop worrying about the things you cant change. Life is to short to be scared all the time.
Denise,
I do agree that we should not be scared. But I do think we should keep an eye on what’s going on. I don’t believe this is normal. The Bible speaks of occurrences such as this. I do think that whatever is causing this is probably man induced… but I think the Lord is allowing it so that all things will be fulfilled.
I rememember things like this happening in the past in single cases or just a few. I enjoyed reading all the other comments. I told my husband about all this last night and he was completely unaffected. He also believes it is due to man and not an act of God. I will make sure I pray every night for our planet and continue to have faith.
I hope that these weird / scary incidents begin to wake people up – SOMETHING is not right in the world, and we each need to start taking responsibility for our behavior – be it over-use of resources, turning a blind eye to business and industry abuses of our system, supporting questionable businesses, etc…and we need to take responsibility for our own well-being, also…
Kendra I agree with your comment 100% (I do agree that we should not be scared. But I do think we should keep an eye on what’s going on. I don’t believe this is normal. The Bible speaks of occurrences such as this. I do think that whatever is causing this is probably man induced… but I think the Lord is allowing it so that all things will be fulfilled.) My wife and I love your site. I am enjoying the DVD’s Thanks and keep up the great work!!!
A plague of biblical proportion?
North Pole shifting?
In the mid 1970′s when we lived on the shore of Lake Ontario there was a huge fish kill. Talk about bad smell, yuk! Of course the dog had to go roll in them any chance she could.
They determined that it was a surge in the Alewife population that cause a die off of native fish. It’s not the first or only fish kill on the Great Lakes. In an effort to control Sea Lamprey poisons were used which had a huge impact on the native fish. I think that God is in control of the balance we find in nature and when man tries to fix things or carelessly adds a species to that balance, the result can be quite disasterous.
Am I afraid? No. God is in control. I would say these die offs are more of a manmade mistake than anything else. If we could only stop messing around with the balance!
