Busy Re-decorating…

>1 February 2011 2,446 views

No time to write much… got lots going on around here!

I’ll give you a sneak peak though, since I know you’re all so curious.

Here is my laundry room. I’ve kept it hidden from you guys for a good reason.

How embarassing.

Unfortunately, I can’t hide it from my guests, seeing as this is where everyone likes to enter our home. *Sigh* One day we’ll make a walkway through the muddy yard to our front door.

But I’ve finally had it with having to climb over dirty boots, firewood, and winter coats to get into my house. I’m tired of trying to wash clothes in a filthy space.

I’m re-decorating the laundry room!!

And the major challenge… a ZERO DOLLAR BUDGET.

That’s right. Nada. Not a single dollar to spend.

It’s doable, but that just means work people. Lots of work. And a lot of creativity.

This weekend project has turned into a major undertaking. Is there no end in sight??

Well, gotta run. The paint, fabric, and glue are calling me. Can’t wait to show you the finished room!

Can’t wait to see it! It’s the most rewarding to give something a makeover with a little bit of nothing in cash! Way to go, Kendra! You can doooo it! : )

Can’t wait to see your results. And by the way, now that we finally have a nice, attractive front porch and entryway, all of the relatives still insist on parking around by the garage and coming to our back door!! Sometimes I feel like painting a cute sign and sticking it out there directing people to the front door. :)

Good luck, our place needs a face lift too!!

Good luck! I’m working on our laundry area too, but have completely given up on the entry way in the front – firewood, boots, stroller, tools, oh well! (I’ve just accepted that I will have to pull bark chips out of our one year old’s mouth on a daily basis!) Good for you for deciding to be proactive and on a zero budget!

I am being serious here, I would tape off what I can and spray paint the door and lid of the machines. I would do it a matching color so that it brings the machines together in common. But that is just my opinion. This is also coming from a person who purposely has fiestaware as her dishes so she can mix and match the colors. I love me the hodge podge theme!

I could never figure it out way so many newer homes have the washer and dryer next to an entry door.

Yay! It’s so much fun to re-decorate, even without a budget! I can’t wait to see pictures!
