Waiting.

>18 August 2011 1,438 views

I may be in and out for the next few days. My dear father-in-law, who has been battling heart disease and cancer for some time, is, as it seems, ready to be with the Lord soon.

I’m just waiting for the word from Jerry, then I will bring the kids to the hospital to say their goodbye’s and I love you’s.

It is comforting to know that Papaw is at peace, and knows where he is going. But it’s always sad to say goodbye, even if only for a while.

Please, if you think of it, keep our family, especially his dear wife and children, in your prayers.

I will keep your family in my prayers. Such a blessing to be able to go and say your temporary good-byes, even though it is very emotionally tough to do so.

Such a moment can be so joyful! My husbands mother, a true Saint, passed last September after a 3 year battle with cancer. We surely miss her but we rejoice because she is with the Lord. Our prayers are with you all!

We’ll be in prayer for you and your family. It’s not the dying that is so sad, it is the absence… like going on a very long trip away from all you love. I pray the Lord will give you peace. It may not be very long when we’ll all be together again since we never know when the Lord will come and take us home.

    Kendra and Jerry & family,

I am praying for your family at this time. I know exactly what you are going through as we just lost my Dad-in-Law June 29 and buried him on July 5 (not a good July 4th weekend). He had an aneurisym in his heart that was causing him problems (he didn’t know about it) he went into the hospital the night of Father’s Day and while there it traveled to his brain causing a stroke. From there it was all downhill. He knew it was his time and he called his family to him late one night and told them he wanted to see them again and he wanted his children, grand children, and great grand children to give their lives to Jesus. The comfort we have, even though we mourn and grieve still (it has been hard on my husband as he was the only boy and VERY close to his Dad), we know that we will see him one day in Heaven as he was a strong Christian. Praying for your family with all my heart.

Will be praying. Lost my other Dad last year. My boys Papa is still missed, but we keep him cose to our hearts by keeping “Papa stuff” around. Each of the boys has a stuffed animal from Papa, his grandfather clock….
    Praying for you all.
