Good Monday morning to ya! Thanks for joining the Barn Hop ladies, Amy from Homestead Revival, Jill from The Prairie Homestead, and myself, for another weekly round-up of linky love.

I’ve had a fun weekend! I got a call from McMurray Hatchery letting me know that my chicks have shipped. They should be here tomorrow! This is the first time we’ve ever ordered chicks, so I’m anxious to see how everything goes. We’ve got the brooder all ready and waiting for the new occupants.

I spent today harvesting artichokes, garlic, and turnips from my garden. We’ve also been getting a handful of strawberries every day or so. Oh, and on Friday we visited a local man who was selling some plants in front of his home. I was able to pick up some Walking Onions, St. John’s Wart, Lavender, and Yarrow all for $1 each. I also got a purple plum tree and a pie cherry tree for $5 each!

Anyways… so much I’m hoping to tell you more about this week! On to the highlight for the day…

Last week, Mellow at A Life Unprocessed linked up and shared how her husband has started using an old fashioned straight razor to shave with, instead of disposables.

I was totally interested in what she had to share about their experience, ’cause my husband and I have been talking about how we need to find a way to stop buying disposable razors. I wondered if it would be tricky to learn to use a straight razor like our grandparents used back in the day. So, a big thanks to Mellow for sharing her thoughts with us all!

And as always, another big thanks to everyone who links up every week. It’s always fun to visit your place and see some of the things you all are learning and doing! Keep up the great work!
